Shortcodes

The ClubMS WordPress plugin provides two groups of shortcodes: public ones that anyone can see, and member area ones that require the visitor to be signed in.

Events

[clubms_events]

Displays published events in a responsive grid with multiple view modes: Grid, List, Table, and Calendar.

AttributeDefaultDescription
primary#6366f1Primary colour (buttons, links)
accent#f59e0bAccent colour (badges, highlights)

Supports guest registration: click Register → enter name/email → verify OTP → complete Stripe checkout (for paid events).

Donations

[clubms_donate]

Embeds a donation form with preset amounts and recurring toggle.

AttributeDefaultDescription
primary#6366f1Primary colour
accent#f59e0bAccent colour

Features: preset amounts, custom input, one-time/recurring toggle, guest donations, campaign linking.

Campaign Listing

[clubms_campaigns]

Lists all active campaigns with progress bars and donate buttons.

AttributeDefaultDescription
primary#6366f1Primary colour
accent#f59e0bAccent colour

Single Campaign

[clubms_campaign slug="your-campaign-slug"]

Shows a single campaign with title, description, progress bar, donor count, and donation form.

Membership

[clubms_membership]

Displays available membership packs in Grid or List layout.

accent#f59e0bAccent colour

Styling

All shortcodes support primary and accent colour attributes:

[clubms_events primary="#your-brand-color" accent="#your-accent-color"]

Note: Shortcode content is loaded via the ClubMS API using your tenant’s license key. Make sure the plugin is properly configured.

Member Area

Use these to build a signed-in member area on your own site, so members never have to visit wp-login.php or the WordPress admin.

Login Button

[clubms_login_form]

Shows a “Login with ClubMS” button. The member enters their email, receives a 6-digit code, and is signed in to your website. Nothing is shown to members who are already logged in.

AttributeDefaultDescription
textLogin with ClubMSButton label
redirectcurrent pageWhere to land after login (must be on your site)
class(none)Extra CSS class for theme styling

Requires WP Login with ClubMS to be enabled in ClubMS → Settings → Users.

Embedded Dashboard

[clubms_embed path="/dashboard/events"]

Embeds the ClubMS member dashboard into one of your own pages. In embedded mode ClubMS drops its sidebar and renders a slim top bar instead, so your theme’s own header and menu stay in charge of the page.

AttributeDefaultDescription
path/dashboardWhich ClubMS screen to open
heightfrom settingsCSS height, e.g. 900px
syncyesSet to no to stop updating the page URL as the member navigates

When a member moves around inside the dashboard the page URL updates to match (?clubms_path=…), so they can bookmark or share a link and land back on the same screen. Opening a page with ?clubms_path= set jumps straight there.

Visitors who aren’t signed in get the “Login with ClubMS” button in place of the dashboard, and are returned to the same page — same deep link and all — once they’ve entered their code. They never leave your site.

Suggested Page Structure

Create these as ordinary WordPress pages and put the shortcode in the page body. Your theme’s header, menu and footer wrap around it as normal.

PageShortcode
/members[clubms_embed]
/members/events[clubms_embed path="/dashboard/events"]
/members/my-membership[clubms_embed path="/dashboard/membership"]
/members/login[clubms_login_form redirect="/members"]

Add the pages you want to your site menu. A dedicated login page is optional — every [clubms_embed] page already offers the login button to signed-out visitors — but it gives you somewhere to link “Member Login” from.

To send members to this area automatically after they sign in, set After Login, Send Members To in ClubMS → Settings → Users.

By default the buttons in ClubMS emails open the ClubMS portal. To send members to your own site instead:

  1. In WordPress, set Member Area Page (ClubMS → Settings → Embed Settings) to the page holding your [clubms_embed] shortcode.
  2. In ClubMS, turn on Send members to our website under Settings → General → Email Links.

Email links then arrive on your site and open the right screen on that page.

Payment pages are deliberately excluded — Stripe always returns members to ClubMS so confirmations and receipts are never missed, whatever this setting says.
